Returns & Refund Policy

This Returns & Refund Policy (“Policy”) explains the terms governing returns, refunds, cancellations, and damage claims for products purchased from Pyrite Science (“Pyrite Science,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) through www.pyritescience.com (the “Website”). This Policy forms part of our Terms of Use, and by placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
Due to the nature of our synthetic research compounds, which are intended exclusively for in vitro laboratory and preclinical research, we cannot verify how products are stored, handled, or maintained after they leave our facility. For this reason, our return and refund policy is intentionally limited.
Unless expressly stated below, all sales are final.
1. All Sales Are Final
Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled, returned, or exchanged.
We do not accept returns or issue refunds for reasons including, but not limited to:

Change of mind or buyer’s remorse.

Ordering the incorrect product, quantity, or variant.

Failure to review product descriptions or research-use disclaimers before purchasing.

Inability to use products for purposes outside their intended in vitro research application.

Shipping delays caused by the carrier.

Packages marked as delivered by the shipping carrier that are later lost or stolen.

Refused, unclaimed, or undeliverable shipments.
-
Products that have been opened, reconstituted, mixed, altered, or removed from their original packaging.

Clearance, promotional, discounted, or coupon purchases where exclusions apply.
2. Damaged Products
If your order arrives damaged during shipping, please notify us within 48 hours of the carrier-confirmed delivery time.
To submit a damage claim, email support@pyritescience.com and include:

Your order number and the name used for the purchase.

Clear photographs of:
-
the exterior shipping box,
-
the shipping label,
-
the internal packaging,
-
and the damaged product(s) in their original packaging.

A brief description of the damage.
-
Retain all packaging and damaged products until your claim has been reviewed.
Claims submitted after the 48-hour reporting window or without sufficient documentation may be denied. We may request additional information before making a determination.
3. Claims That Are Not Eligible
The following situations are not covered under this Policy:

Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect product integrity.

Damage reported more than 48 hours after delivery.

Damage caused after delivery, including improper handling or storage.

Products that have been opened, used, altered, or reconstituted.

Lost or stolen packages marked as delivered by the carrier.

Carrier transit delays.
-
Refused, returned, or undeliverable shipments.
-
Claims based on subjective opinions rather than verified shipping damage.
4. Resolution of Approved Claims
Approved damage claims are resolved through store credit only.
Store credit will:

Be issued for the value of the affected product(s) only.

Exclude original shipping and processing charges.
-
Be applied to the customer account associated with the original order.
-
Be non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Be valid for future purchases made through our Website.

Expire twelve (12) months after issuance unless otherwise stated.
We do not provide cash refunds, payment reversals, or replacement shipments for approved damage claims.
5. Claim Review & Processing
We strive to review all damage claims within five (5) business days.
If approved, store credit is generally issued within five (5) to ten (10) business days. Processing times may vary during periods of high claim volume or when additional carrier verification is required.
6. Right to Deny Claims
Pyrite Science reserves the right to deny any claim that:

Does not comply with this Policy.

Lacks sufficient documentation.

Appears fraudulent, abusive, or submitted in bad faith.

Violates our Terms of Use.
We also reserve the right to limit claims associated with a particular customer, account, household, or payment method where misuse is suspected.
7. Order Cancellations
Orders may only be canceled before they have been processed for shipment.
Once an order enters fulfillment or has shipped, it cannot be canceled.
If you need to request a cancellation, please contact support@pyritescience.com immediately. While we will make every reasonable effort to assist, cancellation cannot be guaranteed once processing has begun.
8. Unauthorized Returns
Do not return any product without prior written authorization from Pyrite Science.
Unauthorized returns will not be accepted, processed, or returned to the sender, and will not qualify for store credit or refunds.
9. Chargebacks
If you have any questions regarding your order or a billing issue, please contact support@pyritescience.com before initiating a payment dispute.
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us, or in violation of this Policy or our Terms of Use, may result in:

Suspension or permanent closure of your account.

Cancellation of pending orders.

Forfeiture of any unused store credit.

Restriction from future purchases.
We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks that we believe are invalid and to pursue all remedies available under applicable law.
10. Policy Updates
We may revise this Returns & Refund Policy from time to time.
Any updates will be posted on this page along with a revised Last Updated date. Changes become effective upon publication and apply to all orders placed after the updated effective date.
